If you make a lowball offer on one of these sell-off items at about 10 minutes before the hour and it's rejected, don't be surprised if at a minute or two before 6:00, the seller gets back to you and, to the best of their non-English-speaking ability, asks you if you're still interested in their item. (That's why it can be a good idea to send the farmer a message or two earlier in the session. You want your name to spring readily to mind when their desperation hits the critical mark.) They may still try to get a higher price out of you but if you stick to your guns for a minute or so of bargaining, you'll probably get the item at the price you named.

Of course, farmers who stay on past the ends of their shifts, while their boss and/or partner breathe impatiently down there necks, are even more amenable to agreeing to ridiculously under-market offers; so keep looking for bargains after 6:00 as well.

A Single Example (Though I Could Provide Many)

I'm not saying that at sellout time, farmers will settle for pennies on the dollar (sorry, I mean copper on the gold), but they will sell an item at a price that will let you make a nifty profit from a quick resale. For example, I've purchased Krol Blades from farmers who were very well aware of their true market value for 600 gold and then resold them in the AH with my auction being bought out at 950 in less than 12 hours. I'd say that earning 350 gold overnight compares well with most of the techniques you'll find in forums on gold farming.

(By the way, a humorous sidelight of my first such Krol transaction is that the Blade was the first item I ever listed in the AH at anywhere near the thousand-gold range. As soon as that item was in the AH, I started getting whispers from strangers—in Chinese! I know this seems to belie my earlier contention that not all commercial farming takes place in China, but I still stand by that assertion. Apparently though, Chinese farmers themselves are under this same misapprehension since they seem to take it for granted that anyone auctioning such a high ticket item had to be one of their own.)

Do you need to upgrade your Nokia cellular phone N80 to N80ie or internet edition? The Nokia N80ie is the same hardware as the N80, just the firmware is different. So you can do a firmware upgrade on your stock Nokia N80 and turn it into an N80ie! Why should you want to do this? The Nokia cellular phone N80ie has VoIP/sip support which allows you to make WLAN phone calls, better WLAN support, new internet applications and some bug fixes.

The upgrade process is confusing but this step by step guide should help you out. Before you begin you�ll need a USB cable, NSS (Nemesis Service Suite), Nokia Software Updater (NSU) and Nokia PC Suite to back up your data. What do you think is the most profitable item to sell on the auction house? Motes? Primals? Cloth? Herbs? If you answered with any of those, you are wrong and that is probably why your toon's pockets are not overflowing with gold.

Here are the two, best selling items on the AH: BOEs (bind-on-equip items) and recipes!

In order to make large sums of gold in World of Warcraft, you need to sell BOEs and recipes.

The reason why BOEs and recipes are the best selling items is because they are in limited supply. They must drop from a mob in order to be found. Not only are they the best selling items, they also make it far easier for you to get rich.

How many gaming hours did it take to farm your 1,000 gold? 10 hours? 20 hours? Twenty hours is probably an accurate number to farm 1,000 gold in loot. (By the way, I commend you for completing this necessary task.)

By comparison, how long do you think it would take to farm a BOE item or recipe? Since the drop rate on both is an extremely low percentage, let's just say it takes 100 gaming hours for every BOE that drops. And that is probably a modest estimate considering that I have seen only THREE epic BOEs drop in my entire World of Warcraft gaming experience.

But wait! Who said you have to actually farm BOEs and recipes to get them? That would be a precious waste of your game time! Wouldn't you rather be running Karazhan or Gruul's lair instead of killing mobs and hoping a BOE item or a recipe drops? Of course you would!

How do you acquire BOEs and recipes? You buy them on the trade channel or the AH.

A typical scenario might go like this: Another player is selling an epic BOE sword on the trade channel for 500 gold. Before you send him a whisper, you go to http://wow.allakhazam.com/ and do a search for the sword. You discover the sword is indeed worth 500g. Apparently this player has done his homework and is asking the correct price for the sword. Send him a whisper and say, "I'll buy it, but it's only worth 100 gold to me". Most likely he will proceed to promptly cuss you out. But 8 times out of 10 he is desperate for cash (otherwise why is he selling the item on the trade channel?) and he will take your offer. This person will complain and try to get you to pay more, but your answer is always NO. If he doesn't sell it to you, fine. If he does, then you turn around and put the sword on the AH with a 24-hour auction and a buyout of 500 gold or more.

I made at least 20,000 gold by using this exact strategy, and I had fun doing it! You will quickly develop a reputation of being a "reseller". This is both good and bad. The bad is that people will get angry with you, mostly because they are envious of your ability to barter and make gold. The good part is that very soon players will come to you with BOEs and recipes because they know you have the cash to purchase whatever you want.

You should limit your purchase price to 20% to 30% of the "median AH price" found on the Allakhazam website. This leaves a safe margin in case you need to resell something at a much lower price than the listed median price.

Troubleshooting And Repair Power Supply The Easy Way

Troubleshooting linear power supply was quite easy as compare to switch mode power supplies (SMPS). AC voltage enters to the primary side of linear transformer and then converted the AC into a lower or higher AC voltage depending on the secondary winding. The output AC voltage is then rectified and filtered by a diode and capacitors to produce a clean DC voltage. If there is a problem in the linear transformer circuit, I can say that it is very easy to locate the fault. This is somehow different in the case of a switch mode power supply. The designs were complicated and some technicians found it quite hard to fully understand how the switch mode power supplies work.

The working principle of switch mode power supply is different from the linear type. First the AC voltage will flow to a full wave rectifier (bridge rectifier) which produces an uneven DC output and then filtered by a large capacitor (usually 220 micro farad and up to 450 volts). The clean DC voltage will then flows to start up resistors and to the input of switch mode power transformer. Once the voltage passed through the high ohms resistor (start up resistors) the voltage would drop to a value where it then flows to the VCC supply pin of Pulse width modulation IC.

Once the PWM IC received the voltage it will output a signal to drive the transistor (or FET) and produces a changing in magnetic field in the transformer primary winding. The changing magnetic field induces voltage in the secondary windings. Each of these AC voltage produced by the secondary windings is then rectified, filtered, and regulated to produce a clean DC voltage. One of the main DC output voltage is the B+ that supply to flyback transformer (for TV and Monitor Circuit)

The output from the B+ voltage supply is then connected, through a “feedback” loop (which consist of optoisolator ic and an error amplifier TL431 IC), back to the PWM IC. When the voltage from the B+ supply rises or drop a bit, the PWM IC will act to correct the output.

If you still do not understand the above explanation, please do not be discourage because you can always buy technical books and schematic diagrams and read it till you get the whole idea of how a SMPS work. You can ask a repair friend or even surf the internet for a better and easy explanation.

Here I would like you to download a free SMPS article by Sencore and I found it to be a great help for you who are still struggle on how SMPS work and how to troubleshoot when it fails. You must ask your self what is the purpose and its function of the components in the SMPS circuit and how to check them if they fail. Push yourself further by searching the internet for the datasheet of a PWM IC part number. For example, UC3842 PWM IC is mostly used in SMPS. Do you know what the function of pin 5 of this IC is? Do you know which pin the VCC supply enters? Do you know what the actual voltage that flow to the IC is? Do you know which pin that drives the power FET? Can I get a replacement for this IC? And so on………

Let’s take a soldier as an example. Soldiers not only good in handling rifle but also knows all the details about it. They know how to dismantle and assemble back their rifle fast (imagine in the middle of war the rifle jammed-they can repair it fast). They know how much each bullet cost, how far the shooting distance, how big is the diameter of the bullet, how many cm the length of the bullet and so on. Hope you don’t get bored with the soldier’s story, did you get the ideas?

Any SMPS that comes across my repair bench, I would not immediately repair it, in fact I will take couples of minutes to analyze the circuit design and see it from all angles before I begin to repair. Troubleshooting SMPS is not limited to only one procedure in fact many electronic repairers have their own unique ways and methods to solve SMPS problems. Some prefer to use light bulb to isolate SMPS faults while others like to use resistors. Troubleshooting SMPS is fun and flexible but in some cases could make you get very frustrated too.

Remember, don’t limit yourself to only one or two sources to get you understand and be able to repair SMPS. If you have the budget, get the books that have related to SMPS repair-study and start doing practical about it. Share your problems with other fellow electronic repairers and the most important thing is don’t give up. There’s lot of mountain in the journey of our live and you yourself have to climb and conquer it. All the best!

It all Started with a simple integrated circuit board screwed onto a piece of plywood.

How was it that in our time the Personal Computer (P.C) and the laptop computer came about to be?

It all started with the invention of the transistor in 1949 by Bell Labs – the research arm of the "phone company". . The transistor was nothing more than a solid state electronic switch. The transistor or integrated circuit replaced the much larger vacuum tubes of the day. Vacuum tubes were large, hot and unreliable. Transistors performed essentially the same functions as tubes but were smaller , lighter , cooler and more reliable All said and done they were better ,smaller and more efficient than the vacuum tubes they replaced. . And transistors did not "burn out" like a vacuum tube.

Transistors allowed a trend of miniaturization that has led all the way to our present portable small laptop / notebook computers which can run on batteries. It is hard to visualize for us today that computers used to house large office buildings themselves – along with maintenance backup support staff and even their own air conditioners to remove the great amounts of heat the early, primitive computers produced.

In 1959 engineers at Texas Instruments figured out how to put more than one transistor on the same base and connect these transistors without wires. Thus the next step was born – the integrated circuit. The first integrated circuit consisted of only six transistors. Current computers have in the range of 100 million transistor equivalents.

In 1969 Intel introduced the 1 k memory chip. This was much larger than anything else produced at the time. Through coordination of Intel with a Japanese calculator manufacturer named Busicomp the next step was made where a generic multipurpose chip was devised. What made this step important was that no one chip could do a number of tasks. Previously each chip had a purpose that was burnt in. Now one integrated chip could do a number of different functions. One single integrated circuit chip was almost an entire computing device. The successor to this multi purpose integrated circuit or "CPU" was what went on to the basis of our whole generation and concept of personal computers/

In 1973 some of these microcomputer kits based on the initial 8080 Intel integrated chip were developed. In the hands of hobbyists these kits were put together and were nothing more than blinking lights. However the impetus was on. Many of these early hobbyists went on to become computer industry giants. With Intel introducing an even much more powerful microprocessor chip the computer industry was on its way.

A company MITS introduced the "Altair Computer Kit". The Altair was the impetus for fledgling software companies, such as Microsoft and Lotus, to write software programs for these early computers. Among the early innovators and producers of software in this field was Microsoft with its first version of Microsoft "Basic".

Along came the computer industry leader and stodgy monolith IBM to introduce the first "personal computer" in 1975. The model 1500 was beyond piddly compared to today's dollar store calculators and cost only $ 9,000.

Next came a smaller "upstart "Computer Company which came to be called Apple Computer. Apple computer introduced the Apple I computer in 1976 for the princely sum $ 695. Believe it or not original "Apple 1 computer" consisted of a main circuit board screwed into a piece of plywood. Talk about IBM having to hold its laughter The Apple I appeared to be such a home garage made amateur none professionally made product that the case and power supply were not even included. The buyer of the Apple I had to scrounge or source this himself. IBM thought the Apple I was nothing more than a foolish fad. A minor inconvenience that would soon go away and disappear. Yet department heads started buying these simple computers for uses in business departments. This was in spite of serious advice from IBM experts to corporations about the perils and shortcomings of these toy computers and outright threats by IBM salespeople to IT staff and heads.

The Apple I was followed in 1977 by the Apple II. The Apple II because of its enormous success set the standards for nearly all the important microcomputers to follow, including the IBM PC.

The very core of the early computer world – IBM "International Business Machines" – the master of the profitable mainframe computer industry had been awoken from its deep profitable slumber by a small upstart computer maker with a simple computer system that began its product cycle as an integrated circuit board screwed onto a piece of plywood.

Differential Backups

Differential backups backs up those files which were created or changed since the last normal backup. Archive attributes of the files does not get cleared after taking the backup with the differential backup method. The restoration process of files from differential backup is more efficient than an incremental backup.

Daily Backups

All the selected files and folders which have been changed during a day are backed up with Daily Backups option. The data is backed up by using the modified date of the files and the archive attributes are also does not get cleared with this option.

Backup, backup, backups!

If there's one thing I've learned in 20 years and 12,000 data recoveries, it's that everybody doesn't back up their data sometimes. Computers may be dumb, but they know when you don't have your data backed up - because THAT's when they break. Don't let your computer fool you - back up new data daily.

It's important that you keep two alternating backups, and an additional spare piece of media. This means to have one disk (or tape, or thumb drive) labeled "EVEN" (for even-numbered days, one labeled "ODD" and one spare. Eventually, something will go wrong with a backup. For example, if an error occurs on an "EVEN" day, and you put in your "ODD" backup, you may ruin both. Instead, put in the spare. If there is a problem, you've saved your extra backup (from the day before yesterday) and have not wasted all your hard work. If there is no problem, and it was only a temporary glitch, then put your spare back on the shelf, reformat the "EVEN", and carry on with your backup.

What's the best thing to make a backup on?

There are a lot of ways to back up your data. Most new computers come with CD-R, or CD-RW drives. Most PCs still come with floppy disk drives (and you can get one for a Mac). There are Zip drives, tape drives, USB "thumb" drives, and more. My current favorites are External FireWire or USB 2 drives, and CD-R for full backups, and USB thumb drives for smaller amounts of data.

There are quite a few external drives on the market today and if you have a computer that's less than three years old, you probably have the ports for hooking these up. They usually come with backup software as well. As of this writing, the drives are mostly under $200. Once installed, it's a good idea to leave these drives off except when backing up. That way, a power spike or other environmental event that may destroy data on your hard disk will be unlikely to damage the external hard disk.

For CD-RW drives, I recommend using CD-R media only, as it's too easy to overwrite a previous backup using a CD-RW disk. This is a good form of backup for large amounts of data (they hold more than 650 MB), and each disk is inexpensive. But it leaves you with a lot of plastic disks sitting around. That's why I typically use them only for large backups. Heat, bending, and scratching are the enemies of CD disks. Incidentally, while it's hard to do CD-ROM recovery, it is possible to recover CDs that are damaged.

Zip drives come in sizes from 100 MB to 750 MB and cost from $60 to $200, while additional disks cost around $10 each. These are sensitive to dust, shock, too much heat, and big magnets. Remember to alternate backups with Zip disks as a damaged Zip drive can damage a Zip disk. Zip disk recovery is possible, but tends to be less successful than recovering other media.

Floppy diskettes don't hold very much (1.4 MB), but cost a few cents, and are easy to carry around. Almost all PCs have them, and quite a few Macs do. Floppies are sensitive to heat, magnetic fields, dust, bending and other rough handling.

Tape drives should only be used for very large amounts of data. They are relatively expensive and slow. They're great on large networks for after-hours backups, but they're easily damaged. Tape recovery is difficult and expensive.

I am an unabashed fan of USB thumb drives! These are actually memory sticks with a USB plug on the end that act like portable hard disks. They are sturdy - I accidentally let one go through the wash in my shirt pocket. After it dried out, it still had my data on it (don't try this at home)! While we've been successful performing USB data recovery, in this case, it wasn't even necessary! They come in sizes from 64 MB to more than 2 GB. They can be shared and used on PCs and Macs without reformatting. You can buy one at a local computer or electronics store for $35-$150.

When it was determined that computers needed a good place to store the information they created, the tape drive was invented. This is a very old piece of computer technology, and as a result, you can imagine that it is not usually used for any but the most necessary of applications.

First of all, tape drives operate in the same way as a video tape does – it consists of a magnetic tape that is spooled out, written to, and then re-spooled. If you remember trying to cue a VHS or BETA tape to the correct part of a movie, then you can probably guess one of the biggest problems with using tape to back up important data that you may need to access quickly.

If you need to get back to a particular piece of data, then you have to run the entire tape up until that point to get it back. This is due to the fact that information is saved sequentially onto tape media. One benefit of tape media is that if you make the tape long enough, you theoretically have an unlimited amount of storage space. Therefore, huge corporate computer networks that have terabytes or more of information sometimes still use tape drives but they're much faster than the old models some of your reading this may be accustomed to.

Tape drives also spool slowly in general, which is done to make sure that the tape is not damaged while it is being written to. If just one part of the tape is damaged, the entire backup is pointless and the tape often is simply disposed of.

As you can either imagine or guess, these types of data storage were not widely available for a very long period of time. While there were some old computers that used small tape drives to get programs or games into the computer, most personal computers did not have a lot of backup storage capacity until the floppy disk was invented and finally provided an alternative to the tape drive.

So what are the main problems with tape drives?

There are quite a few to be frank. Tape is a very fragile material and one of the main problems that tape drives have is the tape itself getting snagged, bent or even broken at any point on the tape itself. Once this happens you need to start the entire backup process again with a fresh tape or you'd have to splice the old tape together again (not recommended). The information stored on data tapes is in a magnetic format so exposing the type to any type of electro-magnet or x-ray device can wipe the entire tape clean.

For the home computer user there are lots of different backup options that are far superior to tape drives - not that any home user is still using a tape drive to backup information to surely? For example, you could get an external USB hard drive and put the data there. You can also save all of your information to CD-Rs or DVD-Rs instead and this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of data backup options for the modern computer user.

Every time I purchase a new laptop with updated OS, more hard disk space, more RAM, nice-looking design I think about possible security problems I might face.

It's not a desk PC, which is placed at home or office where the access is limited, laptop is a portable device, which is easier to lost and it can be stolen. So, it's a good idea to think about proactive security measures that can be performed to prevent security accidents.

First, I prefer to keep important data on encrypted disks, there are a number of software programs that helps to do it. The most well-know tools are PGP and TrueCrypt. The last is open source product and can be used for free.

Second, if I delete some file I want it to be irrecoverable, that's why I'm running file shredder which stays in background and wipes all files that I delete. Also, as additional measure I managed to run wipe free space in the end of every week.

Third, password and login information. It is probably the most valuable one, so I prefer not to use auto fill option in browser and type the passwords every time I need to log in, it's a simple rule and I don't waste a lot of time doing this.

So here are my tree rules, there are some minor ones. For instance, the probability that someone will steal your laptop is much lower that probability of data lost due to system crash, so it's really important to do a backup every time you fill it's necessary. It's a good idea to do a backup every month or every two weeks.

When people think of MP3 players most people think of the Ipod by Apple. But is it worth the money? My family began purchasing MP3 players about a year ago and the difference in price between one manufacturer and another can be substantial. The question you should ask yourself is: "How much am I willing to pay for the popularity of one MP3 player over another?" The answer of course is, you shouldn't pay a dime more than you need to. Most MP3 players regardless of price deliver outstanding sound quality and isn't that what you are looking for? Bells and whistles that you pay hundreds of dollars extra for are probably not necessary if you are just looking for a good quality MP3 player that won't break your budget. In fact, in our experience you can purchase an MP3 player which is superior to the Ipod in several areas for a fraction of the price.

My wife wanted an Ipod for her birthday and that's exactly what I bought her. She loved it at first... until I bought myself a Sony Walkman.

In this article we will compare the Ipod Nano ($200) with the Sony NW-E005 2 GB Flash Digital Music Player ($62)

The first glaring difference between the Ipod and the Sony is not only price but the software that operates the units. We took the exact same CD and downloaded it to the Ipod software called "Itunes" and it took 4 minutes and 40 seconds for the download to complete. The same CD downloaded to the Sony Walkman software called "Sonic Stage" took only 2 minutes and ten seconds. Less then half the time! If you are planning on downloading a large music library then it is going to take you more then twice the time to accomplish this with an Ipod.

Another difference my wife noticed with the Itunes software is that it is not as easy to use as the Sonic Stage software by Sony. Her comments were: "Every time I open the Itunes software to use it I have to re-teach myself what to do because nothing is obvious. The Sonic Stage software is very easy to use. When you open the software it has three big buttons at the top. Music Source, My Library and Transfer. From these three easy to understand buttons you can perform any task quickly."

One other disadvantage of the Ipod is that it has a special cable that has to be used in order for you to charge the battery and download music. My wife complains that if she is out of the house and her battery runs down she cannot recharge it without that darn cable. So be prepared to take that cable everywhere you take your Ipod or you will not be able to recharge the battery or download music.

This is not the case with a Sony Walkman MP3 player. The Sony MP3 player has a built in USB that plugs into any computer to charge the battery and download music. No extra cables to carry around like the Ipod.

Another difference between the Ipod Nano and a Sony Walkman is how many hours the MP3 player will work on one charge. You guessed it. My wife's Ipod runs down in less then 10 hours while the Sony Walkman's charge is good for over 20 hours!

You may think that this article is a long advertisement for Sony Walkmans but that was not our intention. We had the opportunity to compare the Apple Ipod MP3 player with the Sony Walkman MP3 player and we were shocked that not only was the Sony Walkman a fraction of the price of the Ipod Nano but it was easier to use, the software was faster and the charge lasted twice as long.

The one advantage we found with the Ipod was that it held more songs. BUT - I still have not filled the memory on my Sony Walkman so it's not a factor as far as we are concerned.

It's up to you to decide if the Ipod is worth the money. For my wife and I... we are hooked on the Sony series of MP3 players. Great price, great software and very easy to use.

So far my taxonomies include the traditional object oriented relationships such as child, parent, sibling, attribute, and instance. There are other types of relationship that would need to be modelled in order to maximise the capabilities of software that would use the taxonomies. Basic key relationships used within the object oriented programming domain between objects are implemented. These key relationships depict families of objects that may share attributes and methods through inheritance. They also describe aggregations of objects that make (usually) some geometric sense.

Semantic descriptions with more relationship types than this allow a more expressive depiction of a problem domain, and can aid some forms of search within a model. One of the main advantages of a semantic net description, in terms of automated model generation, is that labelling relationships between objects allows the depiction of a number of aspects of a domain in one model, and with a consistent syntax. Ciocoiu et al (2000) explain how an engineering ontology can be made more rigorous in order to facilitate interoperability. This allows representation of, say, a product structure and its manufacturing processes together. A single node then is the only representation of that node within the model, with all its relationships depicted as arcs emanating/terminating at the node. More expressive semantic descriptions are possible through the use of one of the standard OWL dialects. Protégé has OWL plug-ins available that provide this functionality, together with links to reasoning tools for maintaining and analysing the logical constructs (Storey et al, 2004) and (Elenius, 2005). The University of Victoria Computer-Human Interaction and Software Engineering lab (CHISEL) (University of Victoria, 2006) has developed Jambalaya (Ernst et al, 2003) for visualization of knowledge and relationships. Cheung et al (2005) provide an ontology editor for knowledge sharing in manufacturing.

It is also important not to stay limited on one ontology development environment but instead explore how ontologies can be developed using a range of development tools and translated between each where necessary (Garcia-Castro and Gomez-Perez, 2006) are testing this. For this reason, a large range of ontology management tools have been investigated and meta languages. An interesting development is SWRL a Semantic Web Rule Language Combining OWL and RuleML and its use in modelling (Miller and Baramidze, 2005).

Surveying the Battlefield - Aligning the Chess Board

The board is made with eight columns and eight rows. When you are sitting at the chess board the bottom right hand square should be white so if it's not, rotate the board as needed. The columns are identified with letters, so when looking at the board from the white side, a - h, going from left to right. Numbers are used to identify each of the rows, so again using the white side as the reference, the rows are numbered 1 - 8 from bottom to top. Of course, this is all reversed when looking at it from the black side, so column "A" is on black's right side and row 8 is closest.

Amassing Your Troops on the Battlefield - Setting up the Board and How Each Chess Piece Moves

There are six different types of chess pieces. Each piece looks different and should be placed on the board in the correct order.

The Pawn: You have eight Pawns and they are the smallest (and arguably weakest) pieces on the board. You should place them on the second row from the bottom and all the way across. The first time you move the pawn, you may move forward one or two places. After that, it can only move one space forward at a time. When using your pawn to capture your opponent's piece, you must move one place diagonally. That's one of the things that makes the pawns unique in that they capture differently than how they move. Another reason the pawns are unique is that if you get one all the way across the board, you can declare it any piece you want. So for instance, you could name it a queen and have more than one queen in play...a very powerful strategy.

Next, we'll work place pieces on the bottom row, working from the outside in.

The Rook: The two pieces that look like castles are Rooks and they go on the board next and are placed on the bottom row in each corner, so on the outermost squares for that row. The Rooks moves forward or sideways as many places as it wants, so only along the columns or rows, not diagonally. In addition, the Rooks can't jump any pieces (in fact only one piece can). You capture a piece with your Rooks by landing directly on the same square as the opposing piece.

The Knight: Next are the Knights, and they usually look like horses and they sit next to the Rooks. The way the Knights move is a little trickier. They move in the shape of an "L". You can move up one space and then over two places in either direction. Or you can move up two spaces and over one in either direction. This is the only piece on the board that can jump another piece but captures are still the same...you must land on the same square as your opponent's piece.

The Bishop: The Bishops are placed next to the Knights. The tops of these pieces are usually shaped like a hat worn by a bishop (imagine that!). The Bishops move similar to the Rooks since can move any number of spaces, but they only move diagonally as opposed to along the rows/columns like the Rooks move. The Bishops can't jump other pieces either but can capture them by landing on the same square as the opponent's piece.

The King: Your King is the tallest piece on the board and goes next to bishop on your right side. The King moves in any direction but only one space at a time, making him a rather weak piece in terms of movement, but still the most powerful piece on the board by at least some measure since capturing the King is how the game is won.

The Queen: The Queen is placed next to the King and if the board has been setup correctly, she should be on her own color. Arguably the most powerful piece on the board (at least in terms of movement), the Queen can move in any direction and as many places as you choose. Of course, like the other pieces, the Queen can't jump other pieces, so her power is limited.

When the board is setup properly, both sides should mirror each other. Meaning your queen should be directly across your opponent's queen, your king across from their king, and so on down the board.

Prepare to Do Battle - Basic Gameplay

The game is played by each player taking alternating turns and each player must make a turn...you can't "pass". The white pieces always make the first move. The goal is to put your opponent in "checkmate", meaning that there's no place for the King to move and the opponent can't position any other pieces in a way that keeps you from capturing the King. Leading up to putting your opponent in checkmate, you'll want to strategically move your pieces throughout the game board while capturing as many of your opponent's pieces as possible to weaken them. Of course, at the same time, you'll need to keep your king from being captured.

Chess may take a while to master, but it is a game worth learning. This is just a broad overview of the game, as you become more experienced, you'll learn more advanced strategies, terminology and sequences of moves you can make to baffle your opponent and make winning even easier.

Nothing is more frustrating than a computer that constantly freezes up, hangs and crashes on you at the worst possible times!

Have fond memories of going around in games like Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance or Neverwinter Nights naked, slaying rats or any other low-level creatures? Getting your World of Warcraft character naked just takes the basic knowledge of the game setup, and a few empty slots in your bag. If you don't have the empty slots, you can sell anything you don't need, or place items in the bank for retrieval later. You could also ask a friend to hold the items for you, if you're in a group, but be careful - you might never see those items again.

Open your backpack or bag (Hotkey B for your backpack, hotkey's F8 - F11 for other bags), and then open your character menu (Hotkey C). Left click once on a piece of your clothing that you wish to remove - pants, shirt, shoes, anything - and move your curser to an empty slot in your bag. Next to your curser should be a smaller image of your item - if not, you need to click again. Just left click the empty slot to place the item in your bag. Do that for every piece of clothing you have on you.

Night Elves

Hands down, the most attractive race of the Alliance, the Night Elves look great both clothed and naked. There's not too much to say about the naked male Night Elf, but the female has a slightly off body shape, and the ribs protruding not only don't fit with the stomach, but give the torso an awkward look. Still, you have to admit, the Night Elves can really get their dance on.

Humans

The humans aren't too bad looking, as long as you keep their clothes on. Both the female and male are a little on the - how you say, chunky side, and they do not wear flattering underwear. Not very appealing to the eye, but somehow guys who play women and dance naked in Goldshire still get stuff. Hey, we all have to make a living, right?

Dranei

The Dranei, one of the new races that came with the Burning Crusade expansion, are the ugliest Alliance race. No question about it. The men are wide and brutish, and the women - well, their legs are just disgusting. Although, while I have nothing good to say about the men, the women's facial features are rather attractive, in their own, blue way, and their bodies are much better sculpted then the gnomes or dwarves.

Dwarves

The dwarves are short-ish, squat creatures that aren't at all attractive or appealing to the eye. Most male dwarves have long beards which take away from the rest of their face, and the choices for women's facial structure or hair aren't very nice at all.

Gnomes

I have the same complaint about the gnomes as the dwarves - their shorter, though, and even less attractive naked. No one, and trust me, no one, wants to see a naked gnome dance. I'll leave it at that.

Horde

Blood Elves

A beautiful race! The blood elves were the other race to come with the expansion, and they are the most attractive race in the entire game, no questions asked. Slim, sleek bodies framed by a smooth, visually appealing face and surprisingly nice hair styles. Their jump is smooth and fluent, with a graceful landing style, and they look the best naked, by far.

All Other Horde Races

These races aren't something that you want to see naked. The Undead, Orcs, Tauren, and Trolls should never take their clothes off, ever.

So you are wondering how to put music on the PSP? Well, really it is quite simple. Obviously, the first thing we need is a PSP and a computer. In addition to this we need a mini USB cable and some MP3 files would help.

Now I'm assuming that you are unfamiliar with your new PSP Otherwise you would already know how to put music on the PSP. Firstly, we need to scroll to system settings. Here, we click on the "X" button, then we scroll down to the "format memory stick", and once again, click "X". How To Repair Dell E173fpb LCD Monitor Easily

Troubleshooting DELL E173FPB LCD Monitor with power blink symptom is quite easy if you know the right procedure to test it. There are two sections in the monitor that can cause power to blink. It is either primary or secondary section or even sometimes both sections can be faulty. So to isolate as which section is giving problem. I used an automobile 12 volt light bulb (brake light) and connect it between the 12 volt supply line and cold ground with the fuse removed. If the bulb still blink chances is very high the power primary section have problem.

Do not overlook the other voltages line as well such as the 3.3 and 5 volts. If any components shorted that gets the supply from the 5 and 3.3 volts, the power also may blink. If the 12 volts bulb lights up we can assume that the power supply is working fine and something shorted further down the line that makes the power supply to blink. If the bulb lights and you continue to check the power section, it will be going to waste your time. You should now concentrate on the secondary section circuit such as the four transistors C5707 that drive the high voltage transformer in the inverter board.

Just think these transistors like horizontal output transistor (HOT) in the CRT monitor that drive the flyback transformer where it worked so hard and chances for it to breakdown is very high. Checking the four transistors off board found one of them have a shorted reading with an ohmmeter.. This transistor can get faulty by itself or it could be some others components that caused it to develop a short circuit such as a defective high voltage transformer but all of the four high voltage transformers checked to be okay with ringer and ohmmeter test.

Now, here is the secret that I'm going to reveal. If you just replace the defective transistor only, chances is very high the transistor or another C5707 transistor will breakdown again. Usually what a technician does is to test the other transistors with either an analog or digital meter. If you use both meters to test the transistors then you have missed out on the faulty transistor because both meters won't reveal to you the hfe reading of the transistors. Only some digital meters have the hfe checking feature. In other words, you have to use test the hfe reading of a transistor. Although you can replace the other three transistors directly, why not we do some detective work to find the cause of the problem?

Using the Peak electronic atlas component analyzer, I could clearly see the different between a good and a bad transistor. A good C5707 transistor has hfe reading from 320 to about 390 but the bad one reads 467! The other two C5707 transistors have reading about 350. In the above case only two C5707 transistors were replaced and you save the other two. I had burn in test this LCD monitor for many days and it worked perfectly fine.

Conclusion- Whether you repair the DELL E173FPB LCD Monitor or any other model such as the E172FPB or E171FPB, basically the testing method is the same. You could also use this testing procedure on other brand of LCD Monitor too.

Online ink suppliers offer considerable discounts on their cartridges. And if you buy in bulk you can often save even more money. They often have better selections than the average "brick & mortar" store as well.

Another way to save money on your printer ink is to buy refill kits or recycled cartridges. Most ink cartridges can be refilled at least once, and the cost is often less than half that of a new one.

You do need to be careful with refilled ink cartridges, however. They have been known to not work as well as the originals and in rare cases can even damage your printer. Make sure the company you buy them from offers a good guarantee.

If you're going to buy ink in bulk quantities, make sure you know how quickly you can use it. Ink cartridges do have a shelf life and there's no sense buying two years worth of ink if they expire in one. Check with the ink supplier to find out when the cartridge expire.
